The Café  "Schoschana"

 

→ The Café "Schoschana" Since June 2002 the Café Schoschana, situated opposite the New Synagoge within the Jewish community center,
  pampers its customers with titbits of Jewish cooking. In accordance with Jewish dietary laws the Café does not offer
The Jewish community in dishes made out of pork or crustaceans. The demanded separation between dairy and meat dishes was taken into
     Dresden account by offering only dairy dishes. The offer stretches from the traditional Mazzoth ball soup and Mediterranean
  soufflés to various kinds of different cookies and cake specialities. All cakes and pastries are prepared by ourselves
The Semper Synagogue  and come every day fresh from the oven in the kitchen of the Café preserved for dairy dishes.
  With its wide selection of special Jewish cookies and cakes, such as Rugelach, Osnai-Haman,
The New Synagogue  sesame cookies, Schoschana-roses, Sephardic orange cake and honey cake, the Café is unique in Dresden and
  surroundings.
Events in the New Christine and Ramon Anusiewicz who run the Café do not only want to make familiar with the special qualities of
     Synagogue and in the Jewish cooking but also try to create a place and a forum for the meeting with Judaism and Jewish culture.
     Jewish community center The premises of the Café are therefore open for exhibitions, readings and concerts (see our calendar of events).
